Martha Koons, 89, went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2014 at Arbor Village Health Center in Wildwood, Florida. She was born on November 23, 1924 in Maryland Park, Maryland to Frank and Hila Rose. She was pre-deceased by her husband Warren Koons. She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn (Tom) Atamian of Elgin, IL; two sons, Warren Leslie Koons and S. Martha’s main things in life were to help others and have fun. She had a very active life in many circles of friends and associates. Some of those were fellow bank employees, restaurant owners, catering services, baking/cooking classes, card games pals, sewing classes, making special meals for her friends, volunteering at many elementary schools and nursing home facilities. She was an active member of Grace Tabernacle Church. She had friends in many states. She was a natural leader, and always spoke and stood for the truth. She was very sharp and witty. She even learned a new card game within a week of her passing.
