Marvin “Bud” Murdock, 92, of The Villages, FL, born May 7, 1925 in the Bronx, New York, passed away on June 6, 2017 at Cornerstone Villages Hospice House.
Bud grew up in Brooklyn, graduated from Brooklyn Tech, and served in the Navy during WWII. He was a sales rep, then business owner in NYC, later working with his wife of 48 years, Cynthia Reingold (predeceased 1996). At 80, Bud drove himself down to the Villages for the weather, golf, and bowling. A talented dancer, he attended the Villages single dances where he met his partner of 12 years, Loretta Lembo. Bud (with Loretta) was a proud member of the Kiwanis Club of Lady Lake. For the past 5 years, Bud has called Steeplechase Retirement his home. His friends from bowling, Kiwanis, and Steeplechase remember him for his prolific sketching, love of singing, endless puns, and original jokes.
Bud is survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all of their families.
The family suggests that you continue to remember Bud, sharing your stories with his friends and his family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Kiwanis Club of Lady Lake or Cornerstone Village Hospice House.
