Mechanic reports woman who stiffed him at Ocala auto repair shop

A mechanic reported a suspect who stiffed him after having her car fixed at an auto repair shop in Ocala.

Marion County Sheriff’s deputies made contact with the manger of Shannon’s Foreign Car Services, located at 5371 SE Maricamp Road, by phone after the manager called to report the theft of his services when a customer neglected to pay for mechanical work done to her vehicle, according to an incident report. Between Aug. 7 and Aug. 9, the work done to the vehicle was approved, completed and invoiced with the suspect agreeing to pick up the vehicle and pay her bill on Aug. 11. The suspect arrived on Aug. 11 to retrieve her vehicle when one of the shop’s employees left the vehicle’s keys on the service counter. The deputy was informed that the suspect took the keys, left the shop in her vehicle without paying her bill.
