Nancy Michele Pietrowski, who began working in 1998 at Allergy Sinus Asthma Family Health Center in The Villages, has been issued a notice to appear Feb. 10 in Lake County Court to answer to a charge of simple battery.

The younger co-worker at the clinic located at 309 La Grande Blvd. in The Villages told the office manager on Jan. 20 that Pietrowski had made remarks to her that might lead to “a possible fight,” according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. As the woman was walking to talk to the manager, she said she was pushed on the shoulders in a back corner of the business, the incident report said.

The women had a disagreement over the cleaning of mouth pieces, the report indicated.

Pietrowski told a police officer who was called in to investigate the matter that she had pushed the other woman in self defense.

Pietrowski is a nationally certified medical assistant, according to the Allergy Sinus Asthma Family Health Center website.

“What makes this office so special for me is that my co-workers are my family,” Pietrowski is quoted as saying on the medical practice’s website.
