Merl L. Dennis of Lady Lake, FL, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Brandley House Hospice after a long illness. He was born in Pontiac Michigan on Feb. 14, 1934. He worked for 34 years for General Motors in Grand Blanc, MI. He enjoyed wood carving and his gold wing motorcycle. He retired to The Villages in 1995.
He was predeceased by his parents Leland Carl Dennis and Nathella Schack Dennis, his brothers William and Fred, and his first wife Joyce Adams
He is survived by his wife of 23 years Barbara Grover, his daughter Carrie Buckley, Ocklawaha. Fl, Diane Dennis, Hernando, Fl and son Wayne Dennis, Hernando, FL and also Jack Liebenow, Pittsfield Mass; Beverly Liebenow, (Susan), Petersburg, NY; Francis Liebenow [Janet) Stephentown, NY; Carol Lewick, (Robert McLean), Waterford, NY; Carson Liebenow (Judy), Kenton, TN; Benjamin Liebenow (Jeanette), Argyle, NY; grandchildren: Brian Buckley, Wendy Buckley Slade (Eric), Haley Granados, Kelsey Askins (Mike), Chere Granados, Jamie Lee, Milo, Lyle, Valerie, Keith, Brianna, Jordan, Mason, Laura, Travis and Tayler, Lourisa and Jeffery; great grandchildren: Andrew Buckley, Gunner and Laiken Slade, Isabella McDonald, Priscella, Christian, Audrey and Santos Askins, Bryce and Gabriella Askins and Savannah Schrump.
A visitation will be held at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m.
