A 71-year-old visitor from Michigan who has been staying at a home in the Village of Chatham has reported that her $25,000 necklace is missing.
The woman from Wolverine Lake, Mich. reported the missing necklace on Tuesday to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. She has been staying at a home on Hazelwood Loop.
The necklace went missing sometime between Nov. 1 and 15, according to an incident report from the sheriff’s office.
The woman said the delay in reporting was due to the fact she and her friends had been trying to locate the necklace. She said she wanted to document the missing necklace with law enforcement in case it turns up in a pawn shop.
