Milton Scott Harrell, Jr., 92, of The Villages, FL, passed from this life Saturday, June 18, 2016.
Born in Norfolk, VA he was the son of the late Milton Scott Harrell and Garnet Iris (Mann) Harrell.
Milton was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was stationed at NAS Lakehurst, NJ and piloted blimps.
He was a graduate of University of Minnesota, Duluth, MN and worked as a department store manager.
Milton lived in The Villages for the past 19 years and was a current resident of Brookdale Place, The Villages.
He was a member of the Hanger Flyers Club, World War II Club, Jazz Club, started the Golf Cart Precision Drill Team as well as the Electric Guitar Band – now called the Old Time Jazz Band, The Villages.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four siblings and by his beloved wife Marilyn (a Navy World War II veteran) in 2009
He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Chrenka (Blair) of Indiana; two grandchildren; Elizabeth Chrenka of Colorado and Alexander Chrenka of Virginia; a sister, Ginger Griffith of Virginia and dear friend and companion, Helen Carr of The Villages.
A Memorial Service will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or The Villages Hospice House.
