Mired in controversy over Tweets viewed by many as anti-Semitic, Ann Coulter is bringing her book tour to The Villages.
During last week’s Republican presidential debate, Coulter was offering running commentary via her Twitter account to her more than 600,000 followers.
After several candidates addressed the need to strengthen the relationship between the United States and Israel, Coulter tweeted “How many (expletive) Jews do these people think there are in the United States?”
Coulter defended the Tweet and said she was the responding to the plethora of GOP support for Israeli relations. She said she as always been a strong supporter of Israel, but that the politicians were pandering in an attempt to win over the Jewish vote.
Coulter has rarely shied away from controversy.
She will be signing copies of her new book, “Adios, America: The Left’s Plan to Turn Our Country into a Third World Hellhole,” beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble at Lake Sumter Landing.
Those hoping to have books autographed by Coulter can beginning obtaining wristbands when the store opens at 10 a.m. on the day of the event.
