Motorcyclist airlifted to Ocala hospital after crashing on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 in Lady Lake

A motorcyclist was airlifted to Ocala Regional Medical Center after a crash at about 3:30 p.m. Friday on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 in Lady Lake.

A truck pulled out in front of the motorcycle, the motorcyclist lost control and hit a sign in median, according to the Lady Lake Police Department. The motorcyclist was ejected and landed in the roadway.

Lake EMS also responded to the scene of that accident at U.S. Hwy. 27/441 and Hermosa Street.

The motorcyclist had been wearing a helmet.
