Hundreds gathered at Lake Receptions for the 2017 Lake County Community Service Awards.
The awards are meant to showcase local individuals, businesses, and organizations for their efforts as leaders in impacting the community.
MVP Sports Club, with locations in Spanish Springs and Brownwood, was one of this year’s honorees, taking home the community service award in Sports/Athletics.
The local gym was recognized for its work with the Boys and Girls Club of Lake and Sumter Counties in providing classes aimed at getting local youth active and teaching the importance of regular exercise.
Additional service award recipients included Richard Colvin, Ann Huffstetler Rou, Nancy Muenzmay, former Lake County Sheriff Gary Borders, and former Lake County Judge Donna Miller.
