Naida A. Gay

Naida A. Gay, 84, of Wildwood, FL, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016. Mrs. Gay was born August 27, 1931 in Concord, NH to Arthur and Lena (Skinner) Wells. She was a retired Registered Nurse Supervisor and nursing instructor for several nursing homes and the state of NY. She retired in 1996 and moved to Wildwood from Ballston Spa, NY. Naida was a member of the Coleman United Methodist Church and the Lions Club 44 in Wildwood. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed making crafts, painting, reading and writing to her family and friends. Survivors include her sons, Danial A. and Suzanne Gay of Leesburg, Darryl M. VanCampen of Silver Springs; daughters, Diana L. Jeffers of Ocala and Donna L. Gay of Ocala; sister, Norma and Dwayne Keeler of NH; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, Jr and 2 sons, Francis, III and Michael. Naida’s family will celebrate her life 10:00am, Monday, August 1, 2016 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel with interment in Florida National Cemetery.
