A woman was arrested this week on a warrant charging her with the theft of items of neighbor who spent the summer in Ohio.

Stacy Jo Burch, 45, of Lady Lake, was arrested Monday night in Ocala by Marion County sheriff’s deputies on a Lake County warrant. The warrant had been issued in November.

In November, a 79-year-old Village of Country Club Hills resident returned from Ohio and discovered numerous items missing from his home, including a 2000 Yamaha golf cart. A police officer found that the man’s 42-inch LED television and 16-gallon Shop Vac had been pawned at Everyday Pawn in Summerfield. Other items that had been taken included golf clubs, a chainsaw, a pressure washer, tools, lamps and a ladder.

Another neighbor had reportedly hired Burch, who was living next door to the man who had been in Ohio, as a cleaning lady and jewelry was missing.

Burch has a long criminal history.
