Nicko J. Mextorf, 86, Lady Lake, FL died on Thursday, March 20, 2014. He was born in Overnum, Germany and moved to Lady Lake in 1997 from Orlando, FL. He was Lutheran by faith, and was a retired banker with The Bank of New York. Nicko was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post #347 of Lady Lake, and a member of the American Institute of Banking. Survivors include daughter Laura J. Bottaro, Deer Park, NY; sister Anna Malin, Floral Park, NY; brother Charles Mextorf, PA; grandchildren: Nicole, Joseph, Gregory and Jessica; great grandchildren: Hailey, Connor, Travis and Madison. He was preceded in death by his sons, Gary and Glenn. A visitation will be held at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Villagers for Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162.
