Why no more LPGA golf tournaments in The Villages?

To the Editor:

I’m wondering why we haven’t had, at least a LPGA golf tournament here at one of our courses. I remember the tournament we had back in 1999 or 2000, I’m not sure which, when all the great lady golfers were here and the event was a huge success. Does anyone know if anyone is even trying to lure them back? It seems to me that we have a great community for such an event.  Just a thought.
