A 57-year-old Ocala man was killed Thursday morning when his van struck the rear end of a water tanker on an exit ramp off Interstate 75 in Hillsborough County.

Simeon Ramnath died at the scene of the crash, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Ramnath’s vehicle had collided with the rear-end of the water tanker driven by Ardian Mezini, 46, also of Ocala.

Mezini suffered minor injuries and was transported to Bayfront Health Medical Center.
