Ocala truck driver involved in fatal collision

An Ocala truck driver was involved in a fatal collision with a woman driving a GMC Yukon at 12:28 a.m. Wenesday on U.S. 90 at County Road 137.

The woman, 42-year-old Tracy S. Deas of Live Oak, was pronounced dead at 8:42 a.m. Wednesday at UF Health Shands.

Eliecer Caceres Labrada, 42, of Ocala was driving a log truck northbound on County Road 137 as Deas’ SUV was traveling eastbound on U.S. 90.

Labrada made a right turn onto eastbound U.S. 90 and into Deas’ direct path of travel, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

U.S. 90 was closed for several hours due to the post crash investigation, removal of logs and damaged vehicles, FHP indicated.
