Ocklawaha man seriously injured when car strikes trees

A 68-year-old Ocklawaha man suffered serious injuries in an accident Friday morning in Marion County.

John Carl Blanchard had been traveling south at 5:55 a.m. on County Road 314A when his 1997 Ford Crown Victoria vehicle veered off the roadway and struck several large trees, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

He was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries suffered in the accident.
