Oliver Leland ‘Andy’ Anderson

Oliver “Andy” Leland Anderson, 88, of Leesburg, FL, passed away August 10, 2017. Born July 10, 1929 in Evanston, Illinois, he moved to Leesburg, FL in 1968 where he raised his family with his wife Iris Anderson.

He was a salesmen with Brother International. After retiring, Oliver spent many years volunteering at the Leesburg Public Library, teaching bible study classes, building model ships, and putting together puzzles with his wife. He also enjoyed traveling around the country.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Iris and his sons Dale (Elizabeth), Phil (Linda), Stacey (Cindy), all of Leesburg, and daughter, Karen (Les) of Ocala. He was preceded in death by his son, Les; also survived by his six grandchildren: Angie Ruth of South Carolina, Eric Anderson of Fort Meyers, FL, Britany Anderson, Jacksonville, FL, Scott Anderson, Jacksonville, FL, and Erin Pierce of Leesburg and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving sister, Carol McGee of Phoenix, Arizona.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 12 at 11 a.m. with a visitation prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Leesburg. Burial will be at Lady Lake Cemetery, Lady Lake, FL.
