Opening date announced for new El Santiago Recreation Center

The El Santiago Recreation Center will open on Dec. 16.

Residents are eagerly awaiting the opening of the recreation center which is said to have retained much of the charm of the old El Santiago Club Restaurant.

The cupola from the restaurant was integrated into the design of the new recreation center. The construction of the new recreation center is being funded by the Amenity Authority Committee.

The AAC continues to look for a vendor who might be interested in serving light sandwiches, soft drinks and beer in the patio area of the recreation center. However, officials have indicated they don’t expect to have a vendor lined up until at least April.
