Orlando man arrested after allegedly attempting to steal robotic vacuum cleaners at Target

A 21-year-old Orlando man was arrested after allegedly attempting to steal two robotic vacuum cleaners from Target.

Demetrise Dontay Sullen entered the store at Rolling Acres Plaza shortly after 8 p.m. Friday and attempted to leave with two robotic vacuum cleaners with a combined total value of $874.98, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. He fled on foot, but officers were able to use their patrol cars to pin him in near the Oak Meadows section of The Villages.

The arrest report noted that Sullen has been implicated in numerous other retail thefts from several jurisdictions in Central Florida.

He was taken into custody and booked at the Lake County Jail on $19,000 bond.
