An outspoken member of the Project Wide Advisory Committee has resigned from his Community Development District 7 supervisor seat.
Ron Ruggeri, in a letter dated June 26, notified CDD 7 Chairman Ron McMahon of his resignation from his CDD seat and as the board’s vice chairman.
“I have enjoyed my tenure on the Board and look forward to the Board continuing their diligent efforts on behalf of the residents of District 7,” Ruggeri wrote in his letter.
He also served as CDD 7’s primary representative on PWAC. In that capacity, Ruggeri was known for asking probing questions. Last year, he raised the possibility that CDDs 1 through 4 and the Developer should be asked to chip in on a $1.7 million project to shore up the Morse Boulevard Bridge embankment. Earlier in the year, he had pushed for a “forensic investigation” into what had happened at the bridge.
CDD 7 Supervisor Jerry Vicenti serves as the alternate PWAC representative.
