Pair of air blowers worth $800 reportedly stolen from Ocala church

A pair of air blowers worth $800 were reportedly stolen from an Ocala church Tuesday afternoon.

Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Christ Community Church located at 37 Dogwood Road in reference to a theft, according to an incident report. Upon arrival, a deputy made contact with someone from the church who said a blower used for inflating an inflatable water slide was stolen. The blower was rented from Taylor Rental Company and was used for a church event on Saturday, Aug. 5. The victim stated the last time the blower was seen was at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday and was scheduled to be picked up by the rental company on Monday at 8:30a.m. The victim stated she called the rental company, who told her she would have to pay $400 for the stolen blower.

The deputy called the Taylor Rental Company, who stated that two of the blowers were taken from the church, both valued at $400 each.
