Pair of bird carvings stolen from home at On Top of the World

A pair of bird carvings valued at $1,500 were reportedly stolen from a home at On Top of the World.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies responded to 10000 SW 90th Loop in reference to a grand theft of two bird carvings at a home, according to an incident report. Deputies made contact with a realtor who let law enforcement into the home that’s for sale. The realtor advised that he had photos of the house he took for the listing, which shows the two bird carvings. The photos were taken in December 2016 and that is the last time any one is sure that the carvings were still inside the house.

Deputies spoke with the victim and her sister, who both advised that the two carvings were of a white Egret bird, which was valued at $1,000, while the other carving was of a seagull valued at $500.
