Pair ordered to appear in court in wake of fight at Villages nightspot

Two men have been ordered to appear in court in the wake of a weekend fight at a popular Villages nightspot.

A police officer conducting a 1:30 a.m. check Saturday at Spanish Springs Town Square heard yelling coming from Margarita Republic and saw a crowd of people, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. A security officer from Margarita Republic was trying to bring a fight under control.

The two men would not stop the fistfight in which they were engaged and the police officer was forced to use his Taser on one of them. One of the men tried to run from the scene but as he was rounding a flowerbed he tripped to the ground.

The men were identified as 36-year-old Kenneth Mosley Jr. and 22-year-old Zebulon Davis. Both have prior arrest records. Lake EMS responded to the scene to medically evaluate the pair.

They have been ordered to appear in Lake County Court on Feb. 24.

A woman also reported to police that her car had been damaged during the altercation.
