Palm Bay motorcyclist killed in accident

A 25-year-old Palm Bay motorcyclist was killed in an accident at 6:40 p.m. Monday in Brevard County.

The motorcyclist has been identified as Nicholas Spiva, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

His motorcycle was southbound on Dairy Road. The traffic light turned yellow and 83-year-old Michaeleen Blair of Melbourne driving a 2006 Hyundai attempted to make a left turn on Eber Boulevard. As the motorcycle traveled through the intersection, it struck the front of Blair’s vehicle. He was ejected from the motorcycle. He was pronounced dead by the medical examiner, according to the FHP accident report.

He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, the FHP report noted.
