Parking lots in The Villages

To the Editor:

Large parking lots here in The Villages can sometimes be a challenge for us seniors without row signage. We wander around in the heat and cold trying to remember and find where we parked. Not easy with challenged walking and bad health, etc. Large mall parking lots outside The Villages have row signage signs, etc.
Workers in the Villages food stores, etc. said they don’t always remember where their cars are parked (and they weren’t seniors). I did my own survey and questioned the workers and Villages residents at the food store, Wal-Mart, etc.  I was denied a solution since the family did not want “signage.”
Problem solved by:
1. Painting row numbers of letters on the front and back curb.  Say…row “A” and the on the other end of that row “A”.   It would not be costly and intrusive like those large signs or those high ones on poles, etc. Or paint them on the entrance to the row on the pavement.  It would certainly improve our senior quality of life.
