Pedestrian dies after being hit by vehicle in Pasco County

A pedestrian was killed early Monday after being hit by a vehicle in Pasco County.

Larry Caswell, 54, of Port Richey was driving a 2015 Chevy pickup truck southbound in the center lane of U.S. 19 approaching Ridge Road under a green traffic signal, while 47-year-old Rhonda-Ann P. Grzyb was walking across U.S. 19, north of the intersection and not in the crosswalk, according to a Florida Highway Patrol accident report. Grzyb walked into the path of Caswell’s pickup truck and was hit by the vehicle, the report stated.

Grzyb died at the scene of the accident. Charges are still pending.
