A pedestrian died early Wednesday after being struck by two vehicles in Citrus County.

For unknown reasons, Harold Buskirk II, 38, of Homosassa was laying in the outside northbound lane of U.S. 19 in dark and foggy conditions at 4:19 a.m. when two vehicles, a 2016 Dodge Ram 3500 driven by 22-year-old Branden Wynant of New Bern, N.C. and a Mack semi-truck driven by 52-year-old Robell Serrano Castellano of Spring Hill, subsequently struck Buskirk in progressive order, according to a Florida Highway Patrol accident report. Both vehicles came to a controlled stop after the impact, the report stated.
