A physical therapy assistant from Oxford is free on $25,000 bond after an altercation that erupted after she spotted her boyfriend’s car parked at another woman’s home.

Shirley J. Heikowsky, 51, had been driving Sunday night by a home on Deleon Avenue in Leesburg when she spotted her boyfriend’s vehicle in the driveway, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

Heikowsky went to the door and when the woman came to the door, Heikowsky then asked her for her name. Heikowsky then punched her in the face, the report indicated. The women fought at the front door before winding up on the grass outside.

The woman’s two young children were present at the home when the altercation took place.

A witness backed up the victim’s account of events.

Heikowsky’s boyfriend said he did not see where the fight started and could not provide any further information, the report noted.

Heikowsky was arrested on a charge burglary with assault or battery and booked at the Lake County Jail.
