Police track down suspect in theft of liquor from Sam’s Club in Lady Lake

A woman who was in a group of people who is believed to have stolen bottles of liquor at Sam’s Club earlier this year, has been tracked down and arrested.

The group of about four to five women entered the store in Lady Lake on Feb. 7 and stole three large bottles of Hennessy Cognac, 16 small bottles of Hennessy Cognac, and two large bottles of Crown Royal Apple, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The stolen liquor had a total value of $643.60.

A license plate led to the owner of the vehicle, 36-year-old Tanara Jovan Alexander. A store employee identified Alexander in a photo lineup. A warrant for her arrest was obtained and she was served with the warrant in Orange County.
