Popular Villages dance company Shaka Crew hoping to recruit new crop of dancers

Shaka Crew may be out of tricks and treats this Halloween.
The popular Villages dance company that annually offers a Halloween show will disband due to a lack of dancers.
But there’s still hope that Shaka Crew will be spooky once more.
At least that’s what Violet Ray, founder of Shaka Crew, believes.
“I had to disband the Shaka Crew because many of the dancers didn’t want to continue,” she said. “I would love to bring it back if I can get more dancers.”
Those dancers wishing to get involved can contact Ray at:

“I’m still getting calls for our shows” Ray said. “I even got an email back in the spring from someone from Hollywood wanting to talk with me about the Shaka Crew for a reality show.  I had to let them know that we dis-banded.

“It’s sad and I’m really missing not doing the ‘Thriller’ shows during this time of year.”
