Public input sought to help shape the future of the Lake County Library System

The Lake County Library System is hosting two community sessions to obtain input from stakeholders as part of the development of the long-range strategic plan for Lake County libraries.

The sessions are scheduled for the following dates and times:

·  6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8

Cooper Memorial Library

2525 Oakley Seaver Drive, Clermont

· 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 9

Leesburg Public Library

100 E. Main St., Leesburg

Residents are also encouraged to share their input via a brief online survey at http://www.MyLakeLibrary.org/Survey.

The county recently contracted with Godfrey’s Associates, Inc. to help develop its long-range strategic plan for the Library System. Feedback gathered at the public meetings and the online survey will help shape the direction for the plan, and allows the community to have their viewpoints considered during its development. The plan is expected to be finalized by the end of 2017.

Persons with disabilities who need assistance to participate in this public meeting should contact theLibrary Services Division at 352-253-6180 at least eight hours in advance of the scheduled meeting.
