Ransford Ira Rogers

Ransford Ira Rogers, 78, of The Villages, FL, passed from this life Saturday, May 6, 2017. Born in Valley Forge, WVA, he was the son of the late Paul and Gladys (Chapman) Rogers.

Ransford served his country as a Navy veteran and was a retired maintenance supervisor for Worthington Industries Cylinder Division, Columbus, OH.

He and his wife Judy moved to The Villages from Columbus in 2008. He was a dedicated family man and an avid reader.

Besides his parents, Ransford was predeceased by a brother, William Paul Rogers.

He leaves his wife of 53 years, Judy (Bauer) Rogers; three children, Michael Elton Rogers (Jennifer), Norfolk, VA; Ransford Ira Rogers (Chandra), Portland, OR; Rachelle Iris Rogers, The Villages, FL; three grandchildren; Michael Lucas Rogers, Karissa Winstanley and Steven Winstanley; two brothers, James Rogers (Margaret) Seattle, WA; Randall Rogers (Maryanne), South Carolina and a sister, Paula Cline (Bill), Charleston, WVA.

Services for Ransford will be private.
