Ray Bennett

Ray Bennett, 65, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017. Ray was an amazing, loving, caring and hardworking man who was taken away to soon. Ray was a funny man who loved to make people smile and laugh with his jokes or his crazy way of changing out words to songs on the radio or cds.. He loved the outdoors, be it the beach or walking through the woods. Oh, how he loved his family. Ray endured so much pain and suffering from cancer, beating brain cancer in 2005 to this ugly cancer that ended up taking him away from everyone who loved him. Ray is survived by his fiancé, Wanda White of Leesburg, FL; daughters, Tabitha (Nathan) King of Archer, FL and Melissa Bennett of Douglas, GA; sons, Joseph (Claudia) Montgomery of Texas, Nicholas Montgomery of California, and Justin (Jennifer) White of Belleview, FL; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, James Bennett of Ocala, FL; sister, Kathy (Richard) Lowe of Summerfield, FL; and many other extended family and friends. His life journey has ended, he is now home and free from all the pain and suffering of this past 2 and half years. We love and will miss you forever Ray Bennett.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Lady Lake, FL on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
