Recreation Department offers information on what’s open July 4

Villages recreation centers, outdoor facilities and swimming pools will remain open on Friday, July 4.

The Recreation Offices in the fitness clubs at Colony Cottage, Laurel Manor, Mulberry Grove and SeaBreeze will be closed on Friday, July 4 but will reopen on Saturday, July 5 during their normal hours.

Guest ID card services, trail fees and activity registration will be available Friday, July 4 through Sunday, July 6 from 8 a.m. until noon at La Hacienda, Lake Miona and Eisenhower Regional Recreation Centers only.

Residents are asked to always carry their original Villages Resident ID and be sure to tell your guest to always carry their valid photo ID showing their home address and Guest ID card when they are using a Villages recreation facility, even when accompanied by a resident.  If they are under19 years of age, they must be accompanied by a Villages resident or a Villages guest 19 years old or over with a valid Guest ID card and photo ID when they are using a Villages recreation facility.

Additional closing information on Friday, July 4:
• Recreation and District Offices will be closed;
• Recreation activities will end at 1 p.m. and the centers will close at 9 p.m.;
• Fitness Clubs will be closed;
• Outdoor Facilities and Swimming Pools will close at dusk

Regular weekend services will resume Saturday, July 5.

Serious top-down management failure in The Villages
