Republicans are out of touch with America

To the Editor:

The Republican Party and their far-right agenda is out of touch with America. Republican narrow victories in all five special elections are clear evidence that America is rejecting the obstructionism and far-right agenda of the party of President Trump, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell and their pals at Fox News. While the Republicans continue their search to hide from the compelling evidence of Russian collusion to undermine our elections, Democrats continue to work to fight taking away health care, giving tax breaks to the wealthy, putting us on the brink of war, and decimating our economy.  Unfortunately, Republicans refuse to work with anyone on anything, even areas where many Republicans have a vested interest.  Republicans focus instead on traitorously ignoring Russian conspiracies, unnecessary border walls and attacking the poor. As long as the Republicans continue to be represented by such polarizing figures as Trump, Ryan and McConnell, they will continue to isolate themselves from Americans and will only strengthen the American agenda of the Democrats and the majority of Americans.

My sincere hope is that Republicans will join the human race to start working for America as they were elected to do. That would truly make America great again.
