Villages Honor Flight will be conducting its third “Flightless/Virtual Honor Flight” on Saturday, Sept. 26.

This event is for veterans who are simply unable to endure the physical rigors of a 22-hour day that is part of the regular Honor Flight.

Residents are asked to be part of the “welcoming crowds” at various locations.

10 a.m. “Send Off” at the American Legion Post 347 at County Road 466 and Rolling Acres Road.

11:40 a.m.  “Meet & Greet” at the simulated Baltimore/Washington airport at Colony Cottage Recreation Center

2:30 p.m. “Meet & Greet” at the simulated Orlando Airport, again at Colony Cottage Recreation Center

3 p.m. “Homecoming” back at American Legion Post 347.

Petrina will be entertaining the crowd prior to the veterans’ arrival.

Those attending are asked to bring American flags.
