Restaurant closes at Brownwood Paddock Square

The Bavarian Brewhaus in Brownwood Paddock Square has closed its doors.

Las Tapas has changed its name to the Bavarian Brewhaus.
Las Tapas has changed its name to the Bavarian Brewhaus.

The restaurant originally debuted as Las Tapas restaurant, offering Spanish fare.

But the restaurant struggled and last year switched to a German menu featuring Bavarian Knockwurst, brats, curry sausages, and veal and pork Schnitzel with red cabbage and applesauce. It also offered tours of its microbrewery.

The demise of the restaurant could be attributed to the many choices offered to diners at Brownwood Paddock Square. City Fire, Ricciardi’s Italian Table, World of Beer and Five Guys have prime locations on the square. McAlister’s Deli, Gator’s Dockside, TooJay’s Original Gourmet Deli and Cody’s Original Roadhouse are a few steps away.

Of course, Villagers will be eager to see who will come next to the former home of Bavarian Brewhaus.
