Ribbon-cutting Friday at renovated Chula Vista Recreation Center

Chula Vista Recreation Center is reopening Friday after months of renovation.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. at the recreation center at 1011 Rio Grande Avenue.

Residents are encouraged to join in the festivities.

The district is keeping up its aggressive renovation schedule with Silver Lake Recreation Center having reopened Aug. 29. Tierra Del Sol Recreation Center was recently demolished with a new recreation center being built in its place.
