Richard C. Lambrecht, 70, of The Villages, Florida, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014. Born in Jamaica, NY he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret (Jamieson) Lambrecht. He graduated from Lafayette College in 1965 and then received his MBA from University of Rochester. Richard was a retired financial analyst for IBM, Westchester, NY. He came to The Villages from Tampa in 2003. He enjoyed golf and pickle ball at Mulberry Grove but his greatest passion was local politics. He was elected to Seat 1 in Community Development District 4 as well as being elected to the AAC. He will be remembered as a tireless advocate for the residents of The Villages. He was a man of passion, dedication and integrity always working for the best interest of the residents. Richard was most proud of his public service, his marriage to his wife, Anne and his family. Richard leaves his wife, Anne T. (Monteiro) Lambrecht, a son, Scott R. Lambrecht (Minta) of Buffalo, NY, a daughter, Heather Sarra (James) of San Antonio, TX, and 2 grandchildren, J.T. and Jordin. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., in Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, FL. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162.
