Richard O. ‘Rick’ Omberg

Richard O. “Rick” Omberg, 67, of The Villages, FL, passed from this life Thursday, April 16, 2015. Born in Superior, WI, Rick graduated from Superior Central High School and University of Wisconsin, Superior with a degree in mathematics. He worked his entire career for Thrivent Financial (AAL) in Appleton, WI, where he served in various software development and management positions. Upon retiring, Rick and his wife Mary Jo became residents of The Villages, FL, where his interests included golf, woodworking and great friendships with his neighbors and golf partners. Rick is survived by his wife May Jo (Golat); they were married for 42 wonderful years. He is also survived by brothers: Clarence and Cory, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be scheduled in Superior, WI at a later date.

Golf course deserves a failing grade
