Richard Proietti, age 60, of Lady Lake, Florida, passed suddenly of natural causes on Thursday, January 8, 2015. Richard was born in Trenton, New Jersey on December 4, 1954 and graduated from Urbana University in Urbana, Ohio. He spent most of his adult life in Columbus, Ohio where he raised his family. Throughout his life, Richard has enjoyed coaching soccer, owning his own business, and spending time with his family, among other things. Richard was committed to his relationship with God and valued serving at his church. He recently moved to Florida to enjoy some of the things he loved most including golf, being outdoors, warm weather and walking his dog. Richard will be remembered for his unconditional love for his children and devotedness to his dog (Jersey) and cat (Tiger) Richard is survived by his children Anastacia (Staci) Proietti (Columbus, OH) and Angelo Proietti (Celebration, FL) and many friends. Preceded in death by son Anthony Proietti, parents John and Mary Proietti, and brother Johnny Proietti.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 2pm-3pm at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake, Florida. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Richard’s life. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation and send to Westerville Christian Church Athletics Program located at 471 East College Avenue, Westerville, Ohio 43081.
