Rifle stolen from truck while driver pays for gasoline

A rifle was stolen from a truck while a driver paid for gasoline Monday night at a BP service station in Summerfield.

The driver pulled into the station on SE Hwy. 484 shortly before 9 p.m., according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. When he returned to his truck after paying for fuel, he discovered the rifle had been removed from his unlocked vehicle.
