Robert A Soos

Robert A Soos, age  81, of The Villages, FL, (formerly of North Tonawanda and Sanborn) died  June 10, 2017 after a long illness. He was born June 11, 1935 in North Tonawanda, NY the son of the late Albert S. and Bertha (Wysko) Soos and moved to The Villages, FL in 2001.

He retired in 1992 as founder, President and C.E.O. of the Driskel and Soos Mfg. Co., and President and C.E.O. of the Shaft-O-Matic Corp.  of Tonawanda, NY.

He is a member of Hope Lutheran Church, The Villages. He was an avid golfer and horseshoe player as well as a loving grandpa.

Mr. Soos is survived by his wife, Charlene (Laur) Soos; two sons, Mark R. Soos and Michael W. (Katrina) Soos, a daughter, Pamela Soos; a sister, Patricia Neuman; 8 step-children, Donald A. (Karen Sinon) Lauer, Daniel A. (Heather) Lauer, Douglas A. (Denise) Lauer, James (Suzette) Vlaovich ,  John Vlaovich,  Julie (James) Schwartzmyer,  Jodi Minor and Jeffrey Vlaovich,  20 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his sister, Lori Meisenburg.

Memorial services will be conducted at Chula Vista Recreation Center by Rev. Bob Knepel on June 23rd at 11 a.m.  Private burial to be in the National Cemetery in Bushnell.
