Robert ‘Bob’ W. Frost

Robert “Bob” W. Frost of The Villages,FL, passed away November 16, 2016. Born in Cleveland, OH in 1923, he lived in the greater Cleveland area for most of his life, graduating from East Technical High school and attending college at the Case Institute of Technology. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in WWII with the 94th Infantry and proudly told tales from his service to everyone he met. He had several jobs after the war, including semi-professional bowler and postal carrier until he met his wife, Blanche at a mutual friend’s divorce party and they married in 1958. He began work the same year at the General Electric Company in Cleveland as a mechanic in the Lamp Division, making miniature light bulbs, becoming a supervisor and finally a quality control specialist until his retirement in 1983. Following his wife’s retirement, he and his wife moved to The Villages in 1993 where Bob, an avid golfer, enjoyed playing both the executive and championship courses. Following his wife’s passing, he moved to Clare Bridge Cottage in Leesburg, FL where he lived until his passing. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Blanche and his son Fred, and is survived by his son William, his niece Margaret and his nephew Martin.
A visitation will be held at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. with U.S. Army Military Honors at 2 p.m.
Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
