Robert ‘Bob’ W. Sahs

Robert (Bob) W. Sahs, 72, of The Villages, Florida, and Matawan, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017. He was born in Rahway, NJ, to the late Sophie Sahs.

Bob graduated from Rahway High school and attended Rutgers and Syracuse Universities. After working for 30 years in the sales division of the textile industry he began his own golf accessory business called AA Golf.

Bob was an active member of the Lady Lake Kiwanis. He enjoyed working their Sunday Bingo at Paradise Recreation Center.

He was a past President of the Vasculitis Foundation and served on the Board of Directors for several years. He also organized a Villages support group dedicated to spreading awareness of vasculitis.

Bob served his country during the Vietnam War and was an active member of the VFW Post 4247, Keyport, NJ.

He enjoyed playing golf and rooting for the NY Yankees and NY Giants. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife Elaine to many countries in Europe, China and Africa.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years Elaine (nee Kunkel) Sahs; brother Richard Sahs of Houston, Texas; sister in-law Gloria and husband Sonny Loops of Stockholm, NJ; brother in-law Bob and wife Lucy Kunkel of Middletown, NY. He will be truly missed by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
