Robert D. Hill

Robert D. Hill, 64, of Oxford, FL, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017. Mr. Hill was born January 2, 1953 in Wildwood to Bill Harrington And Margaret Janice (O’Dell) Hill.

Robert was a lifelong resident and had retired from Century Link. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Oxford. Robert loved growing roses, cooking and Florida history. He would travel all over the state to find different historical monuments. Robert was very handy and enjoyed creating and constructing useful items.

Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years, Shari; aunt, Betty Caruthers; nephew, Austin Griffin; several cousins, Jeremy and Ryan Smith, Milton, Stephen, Craig and James O’Dell, Rodney, Reggie, and Rick Caruthers, Michael Georgini and Michelle Hage.

Family and friends will celebrate Robert’s life at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, December 7, 2017 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Friends are welcome to gather from 5 p.m. until the service begins and again after the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Robert’s memory may be made to the Humane Society; www.humanesociety.org.
