Robert Smith Wengenroth, age 92, of Oxford, FL, died on Saturday, June 6, 2015. He was born in Middletown, NY and moved to The Villages, FL in 1988 from Streamwood, IL with his first wife Mary Lou Burkey Wengenroth who preceded him in death in 2000. He married Ruth Nelson Wengenroth in 2001. In 2013 they moved to Steeplechase Retirement Community where they have since resided. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II, graduated Univ. of PA, Wharton School. He had a successful career in Sales of equipment in the Graphic Arts Industry. He was an avid golfer and was active in North Lake Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife Ruth M. Wengenroth; 2 sons: Robert S. Wengenroth Jr., Cottage Grove, MN and Daniel B. Wengenroth, Hopkins, MN; 2 daughters: Karen Orlen, Hoffman Estates, IL and Linda Beck, Morris, IL; 3 stepsons: Andrew J. Nelson, Montreal, CA; Eric G. Nelson, Wayne, NJ and Robert T. Nelson, Seattle WA; 2 stepdaughters: Susan Ruth Wood, Salem, OR and Elizabeth A. Nelson, Cairo, NY; 14 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 3p.m. Inurnment will be in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to North Lake Presbyterian Church, 975 Rolling Acres Road, Lady Lake, FL 32159 in his memory.
