Robert Sojka

Robert Joseph Sojka, 75, of The Villages, FL, passed from this life Sunday, October 15, 2017.Born in Stafford, CT he was the son of the late John and Laura (White) Sojka.

Robert was a district sale operations manager for the former Riley Stoker Co., now Riley Power (Deutsche Babcock Group), Worcester, MA.

He was a talented athlete throughout his life being skilled in water and snow skiing and golf. Robert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed family outings and trips together.

He and his wife Pansy came to The Villages from Myrtle Beach, SC in 2012. He attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Robert enjoyed The Villages lifestyle, taking cruises and golf.

He leaves his beloved wife of 49 years, Pansy (Mino) Sojka; daughters, Debra Crews and her husband Randy of Greer, SC; Katie Sojka and her companion Shaun of Cherry Hill, NJ; grandchildren, Nicholas and Josh and a brother, John Sojka of S. Windsor, CT.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral and Cremation Life Event Center 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. A Gathering will precede the service beginning at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, The Villages Hospice House, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162.
