Roberta Ann Walstad, 68, of Summerfield, FL, passed from this life Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Born in Minneapolis, MN, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Effie Olsen. Roberta was an accountant beginning with IDS, American Express and retiring from Ameriprise Financial of Minneapolis, MN in 2005 after 37 years of service. She moved to Summerfield from Minneapolis in 2005. Roberta was the treasurer of the Stonecrest Emergency Response Team and a member of the Stonecrest Genealogy Club. She leaves her husband of 45 years, Douglas L. Walstad.
The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation to be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon. Burial will be held in Crystal Lake Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
